Is PulseCheck a replacement for therapy?

No. PulseCheck is a support tool and does not provide diagnosis or treatment. If you are in crisis, call 988 in the United States or contact local emergency services.

How is my data protected?

Your content is stored securely and transmitted over encrypted connections. We do not sell your data. You can delete your entries at any time.

Does PulseCheck collect protected health information?

No. We avoid collecting personally identifiable medical records. PulseCheck is a wellness tool, not a medical record system.

Can I use PulseCheck anonymously?

Yes. You can create a personal account with minimal information. Your content stays private.

What happens if I delete the app?

Deleting the app removes local access to your content, but it does not delete your account. To permanently remove your account and data, you must complete the Delete Account form on the PulseCheck website.

Who is PulseCheck for?

PulseCheck is built for EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, and other first responders. Anyone in a high-stress, service-oriented role may also benefit.

Is PulseCheck free?

During beta testing, PulseCheck is free. In the future, individual subscriptions will be available.

What devices can I use PulseCheck on?

PulseCheck is available on iOS, Android, and through a web browser.

Does PulseCheck connect me to a live clinician?

Not directly. PulseCheck is a self-guided support tool that works alongside the professional supports you already have.

What makes PulseCheck different from other wellness apps?

PulseCheck is designed by and for first responders. It offers culturally competent, trauma-informed resources that reflect the unique realities of EMS, fire, and public safety work.

What if I forget my password?

PulseCheck does not require any identifying information to sign up, so we cannot recover or reset forgotten passwords. If you lose access, you will need to create a new account.

Can PulseCheck send help in an emergency?

No. PulseCheck cannot dispatch crisis response or contact emergency services. We do not know your identity or your precise location. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a crisis, call 911 in the United States or your local emergency number right away.
